Posto 6 Posted November 27, 2011 Share #21 Â Posted November 27, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Also had an M3 painted black and M4 painted green by CRR. Wonderful job- not only were old battered cameras fully serviced and restored (they looked and worked as new), but CRR are the only ones who can correctly replace old and damaged vulcanite to original specs. Â Not very quick, as they are done in batches- but well worth waiting for, and the result is much more than merely cosmetic!

Washington Posted November 27, 2011 Share #22  Posted November 27, 2011 In a time long ago I repainted my double-stroke M-3 with automotive crinkle-paint. In this case it was so the machine would not draw attention in a triple-canopy jungle. But, damn, the job came out very well and stays that way to this day many decades later. I did have Sherry recover it as the old Vulcanite had really given up. Have fun! Welcome, dear visitor! jaques Posted December 17, 2011 Share #24  Posted December 17, 2011 i have a black painted M4. I was told the paint was done by someone secretive in Korea... I have compared it to an original Leica black M4 and the work on mine looks just as good- it is absolutely flawless. Indeed it is so good I am now scared to actually use the camera- thought the paint seems very tough: Welcome, dear visitor! menos I M6 Posted December 18, 2011 Share #25 Â Posted December 18, 2011 This looks really, really beautiful - well, you are now at a point, to make a decision - either keep it that way and don't use it or use the heck out of it and make it even more beautiful ;-)
