Guytou Posted November 5, 2011 Share #1 Posted November 5, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello, I received my superb Elpro-D today. It is very beautiful ! But it misses the note of instructions for use which gives the fields measured according to the focal distance as well as the maintenance and precaution for use. Can a charitable heart help me by making me a scan by e-mail of the page in French of instructions for use ? Thank you with you. Guy

wda Posted November 5, 2011 Share #2 Posted November 5, 2011 Guy, I can't remember seeing such an instruction when I bought my Elpro-D new. However, fear not, the best way is to experiment with it fitted. DOF is naturally shallower at close range. Taking account of the small sensor size in the D2, I have never found it a problem. It is a joy to use, apart from removing it and refitting. I tend to fit the attachment and shoot lots; then remove it for normal work.
Guytou Posted November 5, 2011 Author Share #3 Posted November 5, 2011 OK, thank you. But I read that there exists a small booklet (9 X 9 cm) in several languages which is in the box. This booklet must be often lost or stray… Guy

Guytou Posted November 6, 2011 Author Share #6 Posted November 6, 2011 Thank you very much dugby ! The booklet is thus not essential… Is there something about the precautions or maintenance? But I suppose that it is identical to a lens. Thank you still. Guy
pop Posted November 6, 2011 Share #7 Posted November 6, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Is there something about the precautions Just the obvious remark: close-up photography increases the effect of camera shake. Presumably, you need to take special care to hold your camera steady.
Guytou Posted November 6, 2011 Author Share #8 Posted November 6, 2011 OK, thank you pop. I used also this method a few years ago with the reflex 24 X 36 and lens macro. Guy
wda Posted November 6, 2011 Share #9 Posted November 6, 2011 As you cannot use the lens hood, make sure that you defend against flare by using a spare hand to shield the intrusive light source.
