Advertisement Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 Hi SteveYork, Take a look here RIP Plus-X. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
BenMacPhoto Posted November 10, 2011 Share #22 Posted November 10, 2011 I was really disappointed to hear this. I went to B&H yesterday, found 5 rolls of Plus X on the shelf and went to buy them, only to have them tell me they couldn't sell it to me. Really? They were right there, in fact I pointed it out to the employee that they were there. Oh well, I'll keep looking.

Maybe those were promised to someone else and their stock is fast disappearing.
plasticman Posted November 10, 2011 Share #26 Posted November 10, 2011 Ironically, it seems suddenly to be in great demand.
St.Valentine Posted November 10, 2011 Share #27 Posted November 10, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Ironically, it seems suddenly to be in great demand. Surely Kodak will find sales of Plux-x rising now as everybody is stocking up. Plus-x is not my favourite film but even I ordered two bricks of it. What the heck, it´s for variety... MX5Bob Posted November 11, 2011 Share #28 Posted November 11, 2011 I just ordered 10 rolls from Adorama today. Almost bought 20. I'm sure some will show up on ebay in a few months, just like dye-transfer film back when it went away.

But Kodak won't be bringing it back. Users of all other films take note! Don't wait until your favorite film is discontinued before you order it. Go out today and shoot some - use it or lose it. andybarton Posted November 11, 2011 Share #30 Posted November 11, 2011 I remember stocking up on Velvia 50 when Fuji announced they were going to withdraw that. 6 months later, it was back. I doubt whether Kodak are even in a position to bring back Plus-X, but a constant steady demand for film has to be better than users running out and buying 500 rolls at a time at any sniff of trouble. My money will be on Tri-X being the last Kodak film standing. My guess is 5 years, if Kodak are still here.
sandro Posted November 21, 2011 Share #31 Posted November 21, 2011 From several places I bought quite a few Plus-X, from Kodak and other companies. I won't mind when they decide to bring it back to us when I begin running out of film.... Lex
