Tullahoma Posted October 22, 2011 Share #1 Posted October 22, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) I decided to see what my Leica Telyt-R 250/4 could do for airplane images. Used on my E-510 and monopod, it seems to do well. I need to improve my selection of shutter speed when dealing with propellers. Jim N.

stuny Posted October 23, 2011 Share #2 Posted October 23, 2011 Delightful, and yes, a bit slower shutter speed on #2.

Tullahoma Posted October 23, 2011 Author Share #5 Posted October 23, 2011 excellent pictures ! Are there more such pictures ? Here are two from this morning, but no more antiques today. A beautiful homebuilt RV-7A and a Eurocopter medical evacuation helicopter were active. Same gear, but better use of shutter speeds. Jim N.
Tullahoma Posted October 23, 2011 Author Share #6 Posted October 23, 2011 excellent pictures ! Are there more such pictures ? This last image was made a few days earlier, when I caught this beauty at the gas pump. This was not with the Telyt-R 250. Jim N.

Tullahoma Posted October 24, 2011 Author Share #8 Posted October 24, 2011 Jim, I love the Beech 18 in the original posting! Thanks, Peter. I wish the tow bar was not there, but I didn't have a way to avoid it. The entire aircraft is just highly polished aluminum with red trim. All of the other colors are reflections. Jim N. gshay Posted October 24, 2011 Share #9 Posted October 24, 2011 Jim, I love the Beech 18 in the original posting! As I recall the plane "Sky King" flew in the 1940-50's? A great shot and plane. George I stand corrected the plane was a Cessna T-50,(with wooden wings) later a 310.
Hank Taylor Posted December 4, 2011 Share #10 Posted December 4, 2011 Jim, nice shots love the old Beechcraft. The Telyt-R 250 is a great lens, I'm looking for one myself to complement my R 350.
StephenPatterson Posted December 4, 2011 Share #11 Posted December 4, 2011 The Staggerwing is simply gorgeous. As for the Beech 18, well I wouldn't want to keep up with the polishing, but she's sure a looker.
