ddp Posted February 16, 2007 Share #1 Posted February 16, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Another older photo from my archives. This was posted a number of years ago. Got a request from William to post. M6, 90 Elmarit, Tri-X. This is a negative I have struggled with both in the darkroom & scanning. Not sure if it warrants truly hardcore extra work or not....opinions appreciated as always.
Advertisement Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 Hi ddp, Take a look here Hills view, outside of Sunnybank. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
lambroving Posted February 17, 2007 Share #2 Posted February 17, 2007 Thanks. You definitely worked this over the last time you posted it, maybe 2003, to really show the play of light in the valley and on the far hill. I recall being impressed. Time to demonstrate your PS skills! Is this a new scan?
ddp Posted February 17, 2007 Author Share #3 Posted February 17, 2007 Yes...scanned today and re-worked. I am still unhappy with it. I believe it was suggested an ND filter would have been helpful in this situation....frankly, I think I would capture this better today than 7 years ago. I can read light better now....... lambroving Posted February 17, 2007 Share #4 Posted February 17, 2007 Dan, I never said it would be easy..., but from memory your earlier presentation looked better. I know this is color, and on this new Forum I never got it quite right, (scroll down), but this is the same kind of light, is it not? http://www.leica-camera-user.com/landscape-travel/229-snowdonia.html?highlight=snowdonia
