nwk00 Posted October 13, 2011 Share #1 Posted October 13, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, not sure where to post this question so decided to leave it in the M9 forum which I frequent most. Apologies in advance. I am looking at a 35mm summicron 4. It comes with the round #12504 metal hood. Will the current 35mm summicron rectangular plastic hood #12526 fit on this lens? If the lens are different for both(whereby one lens can only accept the 12504 and the other the 12526), do they share the same filters? thanks Weekeat
Advertisement Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 Hi nwk00, Take a look here Lens hood for the Leica 35mm summicron 4. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
lct Posted October 13, 2011 Share #2 Posted October 13, 2011 The 12526 hood and its 14043 hood cap will fit perfectly.
tim_n Posted October 13, 2011 Share #3 Posted October 13, 2011 If you look critically, the round metal 12504 hood cuts off the corners of exposures of the 35/2 IV, at least at some distance and aperture settings. I found this out the hard way. The rectangular hood is the right one.
