Advertisement Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 Hi dhsimmonds, Take a look here Spinnaker Tower, Portsmouth. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
andybarton Posted February 16, 2007 Share #2 Posted February 16, 2007 Nice one. This place is on my "to-do" list, after seeing it nearly complete a couple of years ago. Are the lifts working yet?
stuny Posted February 16, 2007 Share #3 Posted February 16, 2007 David - Terrific angle producing a most appealing pattern in high contrast that still retains detail.
dhsimmonds Posted February 16, 2007 Author Share #4 Posted February 16, 2007 Hi Andy, the outside "panoramic" lift is still not working unfortunately. The internal lift is working of course (or I definetely would not have got this shot!) but you still need to climb another 39 steps to get to the "crow's nest". Well worth it as the views over the eastern Solent and Portsmouth Harbour are superb. I would say that it compares well with the Sky Tower at Auckland, although smaller. ECliffordSmith Posted February 16, 2007 Share #5 Posted February 16, 2007 David, A nicely framed shot. I see you dont suffer from vertigo at all judging by your chosen perspective!
