more from the ultimate yard sale

So - I located where the unsold remains of the yard sale went and was there this morning to find the picked over remains: so I picked up a VALOY II with FOCOTAR lens for $10 and a box of assorted goodies including a 14092 and a beige E Leitz New York box which happened to contain a polarizing filter, I assume for the Summar. It must be very early I wonder if any of the Leica minds out there have information.

But this is the end of the yard sale.

$10 !!! Maybe the Valoy (an old enlarger) won't be much useful... :o (but if you have a proper place for it, is a nice item to display in certain environments) , but its Focotar lens can be used well as a Macro lens on bellows. 14092 is a standard leather strap for bodies... if in good shape a nice fit for any Leica body (apart M5 and CL) ; Summar used standard A36 clip-on filters (most of them with retaining screw)... if the polarizer you speak of is like this, it is a POOEL... but given that it is in a Leitz N.Y. box can be it is the US version named FILPO, without retaining screw, pressure-fit.
