someonenameddavid Posted October 10, 2011 Share #1 Posted October 10, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) So - I located where the unsold remains of the yard sale went and was there this morning to find the picked over remains: so I picked up a VALOY II with FOCOTAR lens for $10 and a box of assorted goodies including a 14092 and a beige E Leitz New York box which happened to contain a polarizing filter, I assume for the Summar. It must be very early I wonder if any of the Leica minds out there have information. But this is the end of the yard sale. David
Advertisement Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 Hi someonenameddavid, Take a look here more from the ultimate yard sale. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
luigi bertolotti Posted October 10, 2011 Share #2 Posted October 10, 2011 $10 !!! Maybe the Valoy (an old enlarger) won't be much useful... (but if you have a proper place for it, is a nice item to display in certain environments) , but its Focotar lens can be used well as a Macro lens on bellows. 14092 is a standard leather strap for bodies... if in good shape a nice fit for any Leica body (apart M5 and CL) ; Summar used standard A36 clip-on filters (most of them with retaining screw)... if the polarizer you speak of is like this, it is a POOEL... but given that it is in a Leitz N.Y. box can be it is the US version named FILPO, without retaining screw, pressure-fit. someonenameddavid Posted October 10, 2011 Author Share #3 Posted October 10, 2011 The polarizing filter fits my collapsible Summicron, has a securing screw and is definitely marked E Leitz NY in a beige box marked E Leitz New York... A rare find??? Westlicht here I come!!! David
