tobey bilek Posted November 16, 2011 Share #61 Posted November 16, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Rollie 35 also, German 3.5. Nice little camera Have used TLR and they frustrate me. Big and no interchangeable lens I rather like Hassy V, but have limited experience. Issue here is my full frame Nikon digis are about on a par with 2 1/4 square, probably why they are cheap today.. Advertisement Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 Hi tobey bilek, Take a look here Leica users also using Rollei. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
SailDesign Posted November 18, 2011 Share #62 Posted November 18, 2011 I have a pair of TLRs - a 'Flex and a 'Cord (not sure of exact model numbers, but nothing rare...) to go with my newest toy/tool, my Dad's old Leica III and IIIa. Haven't used the Rolleis in a few years, but plan on using the Leicas semi-regularly.
chrism Posted November 18, 2011 Share #63 Posted November 18, 2011 Here's an addendum relevant to a forum devoted to rangefinders. When I'm not using a Leica, I'm using a Bessa III, with its fixed 80mm (=50mm on 35x24) lens. I assume the experience I have with this, aside from the focussing, is essentially similar to that of a TLR user? One lens, zoom with your feet, medium format quality, take some time over each shot, squirm with glee over the detail when scanned or printed? Please don't tell me I have to find a TLR as well! gbealnz Posted January 29, 2012 Share #68 Posted January 29, 2012 I'll put my hand up as well. Long time user of both the cameras, started work way back with an M2, and a Rollei T. Still have the T, and a boot load of accessories. Not sure where the M2 ended up, wish I knew. The T has lain idle for a while, and this forum has reinvigorated me, either to sell it off, or get it out and use it, although I suspect the slow speeds will be slower than they should. Also have a 35S, gorgeous little compact. It must be in the DNA. Gary
jeverettfine Posted January 30, 2012 Share #69 Posted January 30, 2012 I have a Rolleiflex 2.8F right now. One of my favorites in the past was the SL-66. I had a pretty good outfit. I especially liked the front standard tilt.

AB007 Posted February 1, 2012 Share #71 Posted February 1, 2012 I use my Rolleiflex 2.8 and my Rollei T regularly for B&W portraits. I just bought a used Rollei 6008 w/80 2.8. I haven't received those yet ...in 2 days.
xalo Posted February 1, 2012 Share #72 Posted February 1, 2012 Hi there, Am using from time to time a Rolleicord IVb (Xenar 75/3,5), also with a Rolleinar II. Very light for the format when travelling, beautiful image quality in b&w for portraits etc., a special vintage look in colour (with Velvia 100F for example). Cheers, Alexander

1750Shooter Posted February 4, 2012 Share #74 Posted February 4, 2012 How about the other Rolleis - the SL35 series? I have an SL35M & an SL35E & find they feel better in my hands than my Leica R-models. Love them both & the 135mm lens is wonderful!
Guest Holy Moly Posted February 4, 2012 Share #75 Posted February 4, 2012 Is anyone using one of these? Pete I have a 6x6 chrome from the '80s when a friend made a photograph of me with this submarine housing and a Rollei. He was a semi-pro diver using his equipment all over the world, but especially near the Baja California for whale pictures. I was windsurfing with my pintail and he pointed his cam flat at the surface to shoot my fast jibe. An unusual view at that time....
nickdando Posted February 4, 2012 Share #76 Posted February 4, 2012 Has anyone had any experience of using the SL2000F, which then morphed into the 3001/3003? It always seems such a clever idea when I first saw the reviews around 1984, but I've never succumbed, as the worries about getting it fixed, particularly the electronics, have been at the back of my mind. Though trying to get a Contax SLR of similar vintage fixed is also going to be a struggle. Nick
gravastar Posted February 4, 2012 Share #77 Posted February 4, 2012 Is anyone using one of these? Pete Very Nemoesque! . My Rollei SL66SE is still going strong and has a new lease of life after having just acquired a used Nikon LS9000 scanner. Bob.
Keith (M) Posted February 4, 2012 Share #78 Posted February 4, 2012 I spotted a Rollei 6006 MkII with WLF for sale recently. Anyone have any experience with one? Reliability, spares availability etc? It does look to quite a beast compared to my Rolleicord Vb though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Rolo Posted February 5, 2012 Share #79 Posted February 5, 2012 My Rolleiflex is possibly my favourite camera. Hence my Avatar. Just posted some Rolleiflex 2.8F images here: Flickr: Rolo .'s Photostream
adan Posted February 6, 2012 Share #80 Posted February 6, 2012 Hey, Rolo - nice hospital pix. Some of the Rollei shots look "eye-level" rather than "waist-level". Are you a) using a prism using the sports finder c) shooting as in your avatar or d) something else?
