Advertisement Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 Hi healeystudio, Take a look here 100mm elmarit r/ f4 or f2.8?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jaapv Posted September 26, 2011 Share #2 Â Posted September 26, 2011 There is the Apo Macro Elmarit 2.8 and the Macro Elmar 4.0. Both are excellent lenses, but the Apo Macro Elmarit is a class-leading more or less modern design, whilst the Macro Elmar is a rather old lens, albeit a very good one. tobey bilek Posted September 26, 2011 Share #3 Â Posted September 26, 2011 The APO IS way ahead and works close and far. The 4.0 is best in close range, requires 8.0 for distance. Â It is a non choice.
LeicaPassion Posted September 27, 2011 Share #4 Â Posted September 27, 2011 The 100 APO is one of the best R lenses Leica ever made.
fernando_b Posted September 27, 2011 Share #5 Â Posted September 27, 2011 If you intend to use with a bellows, then the f/4, otherwise the f/2.8. The f/2.8 was designed to have nothing in between the lens and the camera. Fernando.
