LVSBB6 Posted September 14, 2011 Share #1 Posted September 14, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) I just bought a 5D2 today to use as backup of my DMRs, there are a lot of R lens to EOS adaptos available ranging from the top Novoflex, Kindai $250 adaptors to $30 ebay adaptors. I would like something sturdy and firm, while having focus confirmation. Unfortunately the top choices like Novoflex or Kindai do not offer chipped adaptors. Which ones are you guys using and would recommend? I don't mind paying a little more for something that would last and works well for a long timer. Thanks. Advertisement Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 Hi LVSBB6, Take a look here Just picked up 5D2, which R lens adaptor do you recommend?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
stunsworth Posted September 15, 2011 Share #2 Posted September 15, 2011 I used a Cameraquest adaptor with a 5D and it worked fine. No focus confirmation, but I didn't find manual focus difficult. An expensive adaptor though. I also tried a Chinese adaptor with a focus confirmation chip. No where near as well made, and the chip was just glued onto the metal adaptor - the chip fell off after a short period of time. This was a few years ago, I may have been unlucky, or the adaptors may have improved.
