enboe Posted October 16, 2011 Share #22 Posted October 16, 2011 I believe the diagnosis of a misalignment in the optics in front of the LED is correct. One other thing to have checked is was the camera jarred severely or dropped? Much like a bent frame on a car after an accident, a bent optical frame in the rangefinder unit can give this effect, and have several other detrimental side effects which are less visible. I found out personally after dropping my M8 onto a tile floor from a height of approximately five feet. My total repairs were close to $1000. Otherwise they should post it to Germany themselves. I won't pay for that issue. Anyway, I have send them an email.
