I dont think it is helpful to new people, seems more of an inside joke, but some may like it. New members should consider trying a variety of lenses (renting?). I think some CV lenses are great - my nokton is incredible. I dont think a 35 is necessary if it isnt the focal length for you - everyone is different. Thanks for the link, it is interesting. Still have the problem of wanting the Zeiss 50 planar. I guess I must really reconsider if I want to put a new and inferior lens on such a classic and perfect body.
