prunelle Posted August 26, 2011 Share #1 Posted August 26, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) As you've noticed there are threads in this section dedicated to M8 photography and Leica X1 photography. I just bought myself an M3; this is why I'd like to see here photos taken with entirely mechanical Leica Ms, M cameras using films with or without light meters: M3, MP and MP2, M2, M1, MD, MDa, M4, M5, M4-2, MD-2, M4-P, M6, M6 TTL, M7, MP. That's quite a long list, so I'm sure there is a lot to see. Are welcome all photos taken with these cameras during the last fifty seven years. Please, when posting your images, indicate: - what camera you used, - what lens - what film - where and when you took them. For the time being, I have nothing to post so please, begin without me and enjoy yourselves sharing your gems.

prunelle Posted August 31, 2011 Author Share #14 Posted August 31, 2011 Here are two of the first shots I made with my M3. Unfortunately, I'm not sure that the lab did its work properly and the jpegs it made out of the negatives are so low quality that it's a shame to have to pay for them. I am furious! Michael Hiles Posted August 31, 2011 Share #15 Posted August 31, 2011 I like them both, but #2 is great. I am a big fan of the Luxembourg - one of the world's greatest parks. An important part of what makes Paris one of the world's great cities. I am particularly impressed with your exposure of the interior. Estimating outdoors is simple - inside is another matter altogether. There is no Sunny 16 in such places.

There is no Sunny 16 in such places. I agree. For your first attempts with a new system and shooting meterless -your V-Lux may start collecting some dust! Well done! P.S. Your next expense may be a scanner if you are not satisfied with the store scans.
prunelle Posted August 31, 2011 Author Share #17 Posted August 31, 2011 I like them both, but #2 is great. I am a big fan of the Luxembourg - one of the world's greatest parks. For your first attempts with a new system and shooting meterless -your V-Lux may start collecting some dust! Well done! P.S. Your next expense may be a scanner if you are not satisfied with the store scans. Thank you very much to you both! Yes, I'm thinking about buying a scanner but I would like more to be able to trust the labs, at least concerning the processing of the films. All the negatives got out terribly pale and deprived of contrast and this is why I suspect that the lab did something wrong. Concerning #1, I had to correct the contrast under Photoshop. bill Posted August 31, 2011 Share #19 Posted August 31, 2011 Here's a variety of shots, all taken with exactly the same equipment and film, and all taken within a few weeks of each other. They come from the first few rolls I put through my MP4 when I acquired it towards the end of last year. Lens in every case is the 50mm Sonnar 1.5 and film stock is Kodak 400CN. All except the shot on the train were taken in and around Guildford, near where I live. The train shot, well, it doesn't really matter, since trains are a world unto themselves Welcome, dear visitor!
