Three Versions of Kelp

Wilfredo,

A great series. Kelp is always a great subject. I generally like b&w shots of kelp but your third version in color is my favorite.

I have found pictures of kelp when it is soaking wet from a rain that makes it glistening is most appealing.

Stuart, Paul, and Henry,

Thank you. I'm trying to decide which way to go with Kelp. I've done Kelp shots before in the past and I'm always excited by how it intertwines and rolls over on the beach. Some of it looks like fruit. I used Color Efex Pro, tonal contrast filter on the third shot for the extra texture. It begins to look more like a painting when you use it. I like the effect although a purist would have issue with it.

Cheers!
