too old to care Posted August 13, 2011 Share #41 Posted August 13, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Everyone has a different reason to shoot film, or photos at all. Having spent more than 30 years in the darkroom I stopped using it about 10 years ago and went strictly digital. Recently I started using film again and scanning my B&W. Yes, I can do more with the scan and get great results, but I missed the excitement of coming out of the darkroom with a photo worthy to display because it is so much more work. I now use my scanner mostly for internet stuff and have returned to the darkroom for my final prints. Wayne

erl Posted August 14, 2011 Share #42 Posted August 14, 2011 wayne, I am following in your footsteps re the darkroom. Good desktop printing is much easier than the darkroom, but does not deliver the same satisfaction. My darkroom is intact and I am already using it again to process film. Next step will be to 'splash in the trays' again. Just closing the darkroom door is like having a good shed. No one intrudes when you are in there.
