There is at least one alternative UK Leica repair specialist, (in Herefordshire I believe), with a good reputation. Can't remember his name, but a search will bring up those recommended my members.

I don't really see the big advantage of this one.., 100 dollar for a peace of metal...

doesn't the official leica coding cost the same? About 100 dollars?

From Spain to Germany send material insured costs about 60 euros. If I add that to 100 dollars, I think there is price difference (total). Also, if it does not work, I get back to the original... I found a provider in USA. I'll try :)

That's too much money.. I use a sharpie. Yes it may rub off but seriously it's all of about 5 seconds to put it back on and I'm simply cognizant when I change lenses so I haven't remarked them in months.

Very kind of you thanks. :)

I received the ring, I joined it and it works! Good price ($58 all). It is a 50-75 (5-holes) for my Summicron-M... now make CLICK!

Great! No focus problems?

Edit: As yes i did not understand why they sell 5 holes adapters. In fact, you use it on a 6-screws lens don't you, so the 6th screw is not used any more, right?

Making rapid tests (0.7m, 1.5m 3m, 4m, 5m and infinity), there seems no focus problems ...

and yes, a screw is left over (which is 6-bit code) ...

When I download photos to my laptop I get some tests ...

I'm happy! :D :D :D
