Karma Posted August 1, 2011 Share #1 Posted August 1, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, Have received my lovely D lux 5, and EVF, and am now trying to find a sturdy camera case that will hold the camera with the EVF attached. All suggestions welcome. I would be happy with just a stand-alone pouch but will also entertain ideas about a waistpack. thanks for your feedback! kindly, Karma
Advertisement Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 Hi Karma, Take a look here camera case/pouch/waist pack for d lux 5 with EVF attached. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
DaveyA Posted August 1, 2011 Share #2 Posted August 1, 2011 I bought a half case by Luigi with grip included as I found the camera by itself to be a slippery little devil. I am certain he makes a holder for the viewfinder that attaches to the strap. I love my case and the quality is first class.
Karma Posted August 1, 2011 Author Share #3 Posted August 1, 2011 thats great Davey! But I am actually looking for a case that will accomodate the camera with the EVF still attached. I am finding that I don't really see a need to take the EVF off the camera. It fits perfectly snug, and this will eliminate the on-off action involving the hotshoe. So, thanks for the info and happy shooting!
DaveyA Posted August 1, 2011 Share #4 Posted August 1, 2011 I see what you mean Karma. Your EVF would still fit as the top of the camera is exposed. But I dare say the EVF might be vulnerable if you were to leave it on all the time. So what you are looking for is something that will protect the whole lot? I don't know if he would do it but you could maybe inquire whether Luigi could make you something along those lines if you can't find anything suitable off the shelf. Good luck! sandyfaf Posted August 2, 2011 Share #5 Posted August 2, 2011 Slightly off topic, sorry. I was looking at the Leica store Mayfair online price list and came across a case that I can't find anywhere on the web, never know it might be what you are looking for, if we get to see it! D-lux 5 leather case and wrist strap. £90 Described as NEW product July 2011 price list. ETA: product number 18752
jankap Posted August 2, 2011 Share #6 Posted August 2, 2011 Imagine the Dlux-5 wouldn´t have a built-in flash unit, but instead the evf would be in the body. Would that be better? Jan
