Someone sold me a lens for a low price.... an offer I could not resist. It has a Rollei QBM mount.

It's a Voigtländer Color-Skoparex AR 1:4/21 mm, also known as Rolleinar MC 1:4/21 mm alias Auto Mamiya Sekor SX 4/21mm, a viable 21mm lens.

There are lots of adapters to use these lenses on EOS and (micro) fourthirds cameras.

Are there any adapters to use this on a Leica M? Focussing will not be a big deal, I will use the guess-o-meter ;-)

Fortunately this is an SLR lens, so you have plenty of options to play with. First get an adapter to for instance Nikon or Leica R, then, with Novoflex or Cameraquest get a Nikon to M adapter (or R-M) Stacking adapters is the answer.

Options are limited: the QBM flange is 44.7mm only. There is no way to put such a lens on a Nikon (46.5 mm flange). There are adapters to put QBM lenses on EOS cameras, but most of them are crappy chinese adapters and do have problems with infinity focussing. There are some better ones, but I never saw an adapter to put EOS mount lenses on Leica M cameras.

Your options are limited to micro 4/3 and other APS-C compact system cameras with short flange distance (registry).

Leica M flange (registry) distance is 27.8mm (or therabouts), extra wides are easy to zone focus so providing you can find suitable adapter there is your solution.

There is SRB-GRITURN, UK business that claims that they can produce custom adapters (never tried them myself) http://www.srb-griturn.com/

Hope this helps.

It appears to be possible to convert these lenses to M42:

And an M42 to M mount adapter is easily found.

Whether you will keep infinity that way is another matter.

An old thread but...... I just bought a Rolleiflex QBM to Leica M adapter, made by Techart. Unfortunately this only works for QBM-1 and QBM-2 lenses and not the QBM-3 that I need. I want to use the excellent Zeiss designed Rolleinar QBM-3 28-105mm lens off my Rolleiflex 3003 on an M10-R but the adapter is an exceedingly tight fit on the lens mount and jams the aperture in the fully open position. I contacted one of the authorities on the Rollei QBM lenses (Mr Fuwen in Singapore) and he said he had had the same experience. There are folk called K&F Concept who do make an adapter which does work with QBM-3 lenses but at the moment only offer it in Sony E and Fuji X mount. I have asked them if there is any chance of making me one in Leica M mount. The Kiron built Rollei lens would be a very useful travel lens on the M10. It is quite a lot smaller and slightly lighter than the excellent but very large Zeiss 28-85mm/f3.3 Vario Sonnar which is my usual zoom lens to use on live view M cameras, with a Novoflex LEM-CONT adapter. It is odd that although Zeiss owned the design of this 28-105mm lens, they never offered it in Contax mount, made by Kyocera.

I am not hundred percent sure, but there is QBM to EOS adapter, which will hide anything about QBM including pushing in the "pin" to close the aperture. You then cascade it to  EOS to M adapter.

A Rollei QBM to Canon EOS would have to be only 0.5mm thick, given the relative flange focal distances of 44mm (Canon E mount) and 44.5mm (QBM). I am not sure this is possible. I also don't think the problem is as simple as depressing the aperture auto pin. I think the Chinese adapter is fouling one of the additional information levers at the back of the lens, which is preventing the diaphragm from closing.
