egibaud Posted February 5, 2007 Share #2 Â Posted February 5, 2007 Hi, Â I use Windows since version 3.0 (that is about 15 year +/-)... and last week my notebook died.... I compared prices, looked at Vista preview.... installed a Vista pirate copy on a pc..... and guess what???? Â I went into a shop and bought a Mac book !!!! 10 days later I understand why the seller (a good friend) has been trying to convince me to use Mac for so many years!!!! Â Do yourself a favour, bin your Vista and stick to XP or buy a MAC

Peter, Finding this took me 25 seconds. Why didn't you just check PhaseOne's webforum? ioriw Posted February 5, 2007 Share #6  Posted February 5, 2007 I am never glad to read a frosty response on the forum no matter how trivial the initial post may seem, if it is to do with shooting Leica digitally, then surely it is welcome here. If he had just searched the C1 forums, then this forum would have been without any heads-up on this little issue.  This is an internet forum. It will never be printed on 280gsm and hardback bound, so relax. Yes the same questions will crop up again and again and no we will never quite have a definitive answer on cron vs. lux vs. japan but we will have some fun and curiosity on the way... Eoin Posted February 5, 2007 Share #10  Posted February 5, 2007 Hi,I use Windows since version 3.0 (that is about 15 year +/-)...  Don't laugh, but I have been running my business on networked IBM OS/2 for the past 14 years, about 12 months ago I only upgraded a small part of the network to SBS 2003 and 10 XP clients for non mission critical applications and compatibility with the rest of the Windows world. As for my personal computing needs, I have chosen Mac's as the platform of choice for my personal photography needs with the bonus of bootcamp for those times when I need to enter the world of windows. bnelsch Posted March 12, 2007 Share #11  Posted March 12, 2007 I'm a little late to this thread but the workaround Phase One - does work.
wparsonsgisnet Posted March 12, 2007 Share #12 Â Posted March 12, 2007 Naturally, Phase One would have figured this out right away, but sooner or later we'll all switch to the OS platform. Â I use XP at work and have been shying away from Apple for years in order to remain compatible with the windoze environments at (various) work locations. Â I've got my eye on a MacBook Pro and am waiting for some event to propel me into bliss. With the normal expectations of computer reliability, I should begin my testing of Apple's program that will allow me to run my windoze-based video and other programs under OS X. Â I've got the bride in OS X and she's mightily happy.
