Michael Hiles Posted June 1, 2011 Share #6 Posted June 1, 2011 David, This is an impressive picture. Congratulations. It looks to me like a portrait - and if so, I suggest that the figure should by much closer to the camera - perhaps against one of the two trunks on the right. Maybe I am getting it wrong, but I think this great shot could be even better.
pauledell Posted June 1, 2011 Share #7 Posted June 1, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) David, A wonderful picture with great composition, lovely toning and exquisite sharpness. I like the scale. It reminds me of an early picture taken by Ansel Adams or Edward Weston when in the coastline of California. Paul
viramati Posted June 1, 2011 Author Share #8 Posted June 1, 2011 Thanks all even though the photo wasn't posed I'm not sure that it would be better with the person (my wife) more in the foreground. I wanted to bring attention to the size of the tree and my wife is in it to give the idea of scale (an old trick)
