The E43 pre-ASPH 50mm Summilux and the LHSA version of the 50mm Summilux ASPH take a filter with a 0.5mm thread pitch, tighter than the 0.75 thread pitch found on most modern filters. It is strange and I put it down to tolerance on the filter thread, it must have leaned to being a bit tight. I've also had a B+W 23185 filter bind on the Summilux so there you go. I sold my v.2 Summilux and got an E46 v.3, then got the E43 ASPH lens so I still have the problem. The whole E43 thing is just a real pain... Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

It worked on my Summilux 50 without problem; the mount seemed to have been made from brass, very smooth fitting. One caveat, I was unable to use the clamp-on standard hood when that filter was mounted (or any other, if I recall well - sold the lens meanwhile).
