pgk Posted May 27, 2011 Share #21 Posted May 27, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) There's no zip in the Hadley Pro main compartment. The bag takes it form with the padding and it's almost impossible to put a hand in without you not noticing. I'm sure that some carefully sewn on bits of velcro would make the padded flap very difficult to open without this being noticed if anyone is really worried. Personally I doubt my ability to get into the Billingham HP at high speed most of the time.
Advertisement Posted May 27, 2011 Posted May 27, 2011 Hi pgk, Take a look here Billingham Hadley Pro. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
elgenper Posted May 27, 2011 Share #22 Posted May 27, 2011 .... The only concern I have these days is the the way it closes. .... I use Hadleys (original and small) extensively, even in crowded areas, and the same precautions apply to them as to any bag: keep moving so there´s no opportunity for anyone to ´dig in´ without doing a ballet dance around you. When that´s impractical (say, on a bus), just pull the bag in front of you instead, so you can see it. Besides, my experience is that almost nobody without experience with Billinghams understands how to open them properly; if allowed to have a look, they invariably start trying to undo the buckles instead of simply pulling the top of the straps as intended... Manolo Laguillo Posted May 27, 2011 Share #23 Posted May 27, 2011 Does anybody use the new Bilingham bags f.1.4 and f.2.8? I saw them only in the web page. They measure different than the Hadley ones, and look different as well. How are they in practice? Thank you! Manolo
swamiji Posted May 28, 2011 Share #24 Posted May 28, 2011 Well I do feel some what assured by these replies. Hadley Pro's are common here, so a thief would be aware of how to open it. But with basic percautions it should be fine.

pgk Posted May 29, 2011 Share #30 Posted May 29, 2011 THANK YOU! But is really impossible to carry a MACBOOK PRO 15"?!? The 13" is a snug fit - the 15" might fit IF you removed the padded insert (I sometimes but cameras and lenses in without the insert provided they are in individual cases). I don't have a 15" to try but using a rule indicates that without the divider a 15" might just go in.
skovbo13 Posted May 29, 2011 Author Share #31 Posted May 29, 2011 According to this page, a 15" apparently fits in the pro, insert in place. (Scroll down to "Photo Bags"). I just received a black canvas Hadley Pro, and my 13" Macbook without sleeve fits in, although its a very tight fit. THANK YOU! But is really impossible to carry a MACBOOK PRO 15"?!?
