jaques Posted May 17, 2011 Share #1 Posted May 17, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) This is South Australia's Coorong National Park. This area was made famous by the film 'Stormboy' which is an Australian classic. The bird life in the area is spectacular. very happy with both lenses on the M9- especially pleased with the 135 and wished I had used it more (and coded it correctly). Works great on the M9 and I don't believe the hype about it being too hard to focus. Any comments good or bad welcome.
Advertisement Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 Hi jaques, Take a look here trip to the coorong- summicron 35 and elmarit 135. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jaques Posted May 17, 2011 Author Share #2 Posted May 17, 2011 some of these don't work so well on the monitor at this scale- here is a crop detail from the 135mm:
stuny Posted May 17, 2011 Share #3 Posted May 17, 2011 Jacques - Lovely light and color. I think 2 & 3 would be stronger too if you cropped to move the pelicans out of the center, cutting from the left, leaving more space in front of the birds. #1 would benedfit from sharpening. pauledell Posted May 17, 2011 Share #4 Posted May 17, 2011 An excellent series. I like the first three a lot with the late day sun, the composition, the colors and sharpness. Paul

jaques Posted May 17, 2011 Author Share #7 Posted May 17, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) thankyou all, much appreciated. This was actually the first light of dawn- not sunset. The light was amazing and the water was perfectly still... I am now very keen to get back to the Coorong. The mid-day light is very harsh in Australia but we do get spectacular colours at sunset and sunise- here are a few more:
