Advertisement Posted May 15, 2011 Posted May 15, 2011 Hi ho_co, Take a look here Puts' Compendium sold out. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
veraikon Posted May 16, 2011 Share #2 Posted May 16, 2011 See latest update at Blog. I suggest "sold out" means sold out at editor. The usual "book -dealer" (at least one the one in the town without tunnel station) are still offering copies. May be they ordered a greater amount. swamiji Posted May 16, 2011 Share #3 Posted May 16, 2011 He self published. Sold out means it's gone everywhere! Unless he chooses a second printing.
250swb Posted May 16, 2011 Share #4 Posted May 16, 2011 Does it matter? I'm sure everything of interest will be quoted on LUF sooner or later Steve
mjh Posted May 16, 2011 Share #5 Posted May 16, 2011 He self published. Sold out means it's gone everywhere! Some book stores have it listed (for example Leica Compendium / Erwin Puts Leica Compendium * PORTOFREI * Lindemanns Buchhandlung), so even when Puts has shipped all he had there might still be some remaining copies in the retail channel. But you should run, not walk there to secure your copy.
swamiji Posted May 16, 2011 Share #6 Posted May 16, 2011 I contacted him directly as I had an address issue. Basically he had 1000 printed and he shipped nearly 1000. That does not mean some did not go stores. But it does mean running is not fast enough.

k-hawinkler Posted May 16, 2011 Share #8 Posted May 16, 2011 Even though his book was announced as a limited edition of a thousand copies, does or does that not exclude further printings? I am still waiting ... K-H.

tgray Posted May 16, 2011 Share #13 Posted May 16, 2011 I'm in the US and haven't received it yet. You would think with that quite hefty delivery charge of 35 euro the shipping would be a bit faster. Oh well, looking forward to it anyway.
Overgaard Posted May 16, 2011 Share #14 Posted May 16, 2011 I think it's a splendid work of books (a big and a small) and they will be very helpful for future reference. I hope he will make it available for backorder of a reprint, or selling PDF editions. You get a lot for the money.
swamiji Posted May 17, 2011 Share #15 Posted May 17, 2011 I am in mainland china, still waiting on mine. There is only one person who can answer the question of future printings.
