Excellent photos! You're really showing the versatility of the S2. Did you carry just the 35 and 120 around or others too?

The bag is getting heavy. The 35 and 120 are with me and the 70 is usually on the camera. To make things complicated, I have the M9 with me as well with a 50mm summi or nocti on it at all time based on day or night.

On the same trip, I also visited Afghanistan and only took my M9 with the 35 summi on it. I plan to post photos from that visit over the next week or so.

No kidding. I picked up my first Leica in 2008 when I headed to my local dealer to pickup a lens for my Nikon D3. I placed my memory card in the M8 with a 35 summicron and took pictures of the store, outside etc. Thought nothing of it. Got home loaded the image in Lightroom and wala.

I was hooked. After that day, I decides to go Lecia. The Leica glass is simply amazing.

Ever sense then, I have had a M8, M8.2 sold those and got the M9, with a bunch of glass then this January I walk into my dealer and there it was a S2-P in stock and on the shelve. Mo told me she is hear would you like to see her? (Mo - Ace Photo Ashburn VA USA)

Anyway, ebay was on, I sold everything Nikon and moved over to S2-P.

My first week I dropped my 70mm glass:(, called Lecia and they fedExed me a replacement the next day:). That is what the concierge service gets you. A week later they called me and told me that they are not able to repair the old 70mm and that they are sending me a brand new one at no cost:D.

I have to say, the S2 is the best camera I have ever used. It is simple, clean and designed with the photographer in mind.

Simple menu system, clean interface and great quality.

Nice Series, thank you for sharing. I also think the S2 is great for travel photography. I use the 35 and 120 when I travel now and feel they cover most of the range I want. Having the weather sealing really gives piece of mind and saves all the time cleaning in PS.

Take care,

Arif
