k-hawinkler Posted May 29, 2011 Author Share #21 Posted May 29, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Here http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/1596666-post142.html you find the following: • Visoflex IIIs and all lenses for use on them must be fine-adjusted individually to (almost) zero tolerance for optimal performance. • Once this fine-adjustment has been accomplished each lens is interoperable with every Visoflex III for optimal performance. • Newer fabrication techniques and smaller tolerances of digital (in contrast to film) demands make fine-adjustment necessary for digital use. • Older lenses have bigger tolerances and require fine-adjustment in addition to the Visoflex III.
