ulrichx1 Posted May 3, 2011 Share #1 Posted May 3, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Would it be a crazy idea to build a Tele-Leica X1? Rollei had some success with such concept in the past and I would be willing to invest in a second X1 with a fixed tele. Welcome, dear visitor! earleygallery Posted May 3, 2011 Share #2 Posted May 3, 2011 Probably financially crazy for Leica, I'm not sure how many others there are like you who would buy a dedicated telephoto lens X1. A zoom version is much more likely IMHO.
Nick_S Posted May 3, 2011 Share #3 Posted May 3, 2011 Perhaps a 1.5x mutar to fit your existing X1 lens attachment thread would be more versatile. Though I believe that you had to close down a couple of stops to get a good image. jsrockit Posted May 3, 2011 Share #4 Posted May 3, 2011 The Rollei was a medium format camera used by many for Portraits. The X1 is a totally different concept. A fixed telephoto lens would not sell well I would gather. A 50mm? perhaps.

A 50mm? perhaps. i don't think there is enough of a differentiation between 35 and 50 for them to make it- now if you said an effective length of 75 or 90mm i might be interested but i would definitely be interested in a f/2.0 'cron version
