likalar Posted April 28, 2011 Share #1 Posted April 28, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) M9, 35mm Summicron, Asph....Yes, this is similar to the Jaguar shot, but includes the colorful flags. My apologies for the near redundancy. Thanks for having a look. Larry
Advertisement Posted April 28, 2011 Posted April 28, 2011 Hi likalar, Take a look here Alfa at the Fairmont, San Francisco. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
pauledell Posted April 28, 2011 Share #2 Posted April 28, 2011 Larry, Of the two, I like this shot the most. Just like passing the royalty of sportscars in front of the palace of society. Excellent composition, colors, sharpness, atmosphere and mood. Paul
stuny Posted April 28, 2011 Share #3 Posted April 28, 2011 Larry - I was hoping you'd show us the two Alfa Sprints. Lovely shot overall, lovely auto. I anxiously await more form that venue.

likalar Posted May 8, 2011 Author Share #8 Posted May 8, 2011 Many thanks! The cars had spent the night outdoors in the rain. The owners seemed not to care; spirits were high, and the forecast for the 5 day ride was dry and clear. The venue included track time at two different racetracks. Some of the women passengers seemed not so happy with the rain. Larry
Guest Benqui Posted May 9, 2011 Share #9 Posted May 9, 2011 What a beautiful shot!! The cars with different shapes and different colors. Very well regards, Marc
roguewave Posted May 10, 2011 Share #10 Posted May 10, 2011 Larry, a lovely image and a special reminder for me. My wife & I spent the first night of our honeymoon there, the same day that Moscone & Milk were murdered by Dan White. What a week that was with the discovery of all the deaths in Jonestown. We moved across the street to a suite at the Huntington because things got out of control at the Fairmont.
