Yes, Michael, it is in the central 1/3 although not in the Northern half...

And yes, DAK, your detective work is very impressive, in fact you nailed it - it is indeed Natchez-under-the-Hill on the mighty Mississippi River...

It looks like the Mississippi River downstream (i. e., south) of the previous photo at Natchez, MS.

[The river appears smaller than at Natchez, so I can understand very well that Michael guessed that this photo had been taken upstream (north). This is because the river is indeed smaller here: shortly after Natchez, about 30% of its flow is allowed into the Atchafalaya River, cf. Old River Control Structure... Without this enormous structure, the Atchafalaya might have "captured" the Mississippi completely by now and would have become the new course of the Lower Mississippi River...]

Would it be OK if I try to pinpoint the location precisely but have nothing to show in case my guess is correct?
