doubice Posted April 8, 2012 Share #1093 Posted April 8, 2012 Alright, here we go. Slightly different location and cultural background from Lars’ last photo …… I hope we are high enough to qualify for ‘World from above’ - I am looking for the name of the body of water and the name of the settlement, which should not be that difficult once you know the first…. Good luck, Jan Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! Michael Geschlecht Posted April 8, 2012 Share #1095 Posted April 8, 2012 Hello Everyone, Could this be an iron mine where it gets reasonably cold in Winter? Best Regards, Michael,
etibeti Posted April 8, 2012 Share #1096 Posted April 8, 2012 Missouri River ?
doubice Posted April 8, 2012 Share #1097 Posted April 8, 2012 (edited) I guess it is the ore cars that triggered the responses - no, there is no quary or mine close by. And - it is not the Missouri River. It does get reasonably cold here in the winter but, that has nothing to do with the train or its load - just with the geographical location of the place. First hint - trains like this travel along this route regularly, always empty on the way up and full on the way down. Good luck, Jan Edited April 8, 2012 by doubice
etibeti Posted April 8, 2012 Share #1098 Posted April 8, 2012 Fraser river ?
doubice Posted April 8, 2012 Share #1099 Posted April 8, 2012 Fraser river ? Yes, Fraser River. Now - where along the Fraser? Good luck, Jan
doubice Posted April 8, 2012 Share #1100 Posted April 8, 2012 Sincere apologies; I was replying while doing other tasks and at my age that is not recommended..... It is not the Fraser River, but one of its major tributaries...... Best, Jan
