your question is not easy to answer. The sea shown is included in the Helsinki Convention, but from a historical or a biological point of view, it is not a part of the Baltic Sea.

If it is the Helsinki Convention on the Protection of the Marine Environment of the Baltic Sea Area you mean, it could also include parts of the Danish coast.

 

Is it along the eastern Jutland (Jylland) coast?

Hello Michael,

 

Sweden is correct, Gulf of Bothnia is not.

I fear it could be to obvious after that very good question if it was along the Baltic Sea. The name of the town I'm asking for is mentioned in a book written by Nobel laureate. Some time ago, there was a "direct link" to Germany, a residue of that is clearly seen in the picture.
