After the Storm

This is why I don't enter photo constests. Lambda thinks this is not a good photo, but I think it is excellent for composition, crop, light, color, detail, and even the frame - a conceit that I seldom have liked in the past - since it seems to extend the impact of the storm.

As far as the border.....and the color style, I tried to make it look like an old, peel apart polaroid picture.

If only it would be an old classic beetle from the 70´s, the polaroid technique would make more sense to me. I don´t like the border as well, but the picture is not so bad at all. Why don´t you shoot and crop like the M9-format offers you? Maybe there are other ways to go with such a modern subject of matter. Reflections on the wet ground and red light is a nice point.
