mobeyone Posted April 1, 2011 Share #1 Posted April 1, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Cannot wait) Fear it maybe a few months though before I get my hands on it... I have been going through some old posts and found that some users have had to have their M adjusted to the lux? is this correct? even when new? Well done, I hope it arrives soon. When I ordered one the quote was for six months and I got it the following week! As regards having the camera adjusted I don't think its common at all. Mine is fine with the lens. If you have other lenses and they work OK it won't be the camera anyway but the individual Summilux. Too many scare stories get into folklore, it will be terrific. Savvas I had a similar experience at PopFlash - was on the waiting list for two weeks before I got a message that a 'Lux 50 ASPH was available. Tony and Alex are a pleasure to deal with! mobeyone Posted April 4, 2011 Author Share #9 Posted April 4, 2011 Thanks all, see what happens.. (Apparently) patience is a virtue! Is there a difference in waiting between black and silver? I have opted for a silver lux.. yet to break it to the wife.. see if she notices!
digger1914 Posted April 4, 2011 Share #10 Posted April 4, 2011 I ordered one last week. I am expecting a 4 month wait at minimum. I have to be patient I guess!

MA-Sweden Posted May 16, 2011 Share #12 Posted May 16, 2011 Hi Mobeyone, I ordered a Summilux 35 and 50 at my local (if you can call 80 km local) Leica premium dealer at a Leica Demo day the 4th May. I was told 6-12 months for Summilux 50 and ~ 12 months for the Summilux 35. At the demo day I was testing a few lenses with my M9: Super-Elmar 18, Summilux 24, Elmar 24, Summilux 35, Summilux 50 and Summicron 75 and all was spot, so I think you should not expect any focusing error. kjohn Posted May 17, 2011 Share #14 Posted May 17, 2011 Ditto... although I haven't done any very scientific tests yet, to my eyes, mine is spot on...
epand56 Posted May 18, 2011 Share #15 Posted May 18, 2011 Thanks Steve! its always been the lens that I wanted (bar noctilux of course) and cannot wait... just hope its here soon! I'm sure you will find it much more usefull and versatile than the Nocti and with almost the same quality (with some benefits also). IMO the 50 Lux is the most beautiful and interesting M lens. tdtaylor Posted May 18, 2011 Share #16 Posted May 18, 2011 12 months for the Summilux 35. I'm coming up on a year for the 35 lux. Fortunately I have another 35 to keep me company while I wait. I am now low on the dealer's list, so we are hoping by the end of June.
