stuny Posted July 13, 2006 Share #1 Posted July 13, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Barbara finally got a chance to finish the Myanmar portion of out Laos & Myanmar notes, and I had an opportunity to add link for photos. In doing so I revisited my files and found a number of photos I never "processed" for the web. The first photo below is one. In Yangon (formerly Rangoon) is the most spectacular temple we've seen in over a dozen Asian countries: Shwedagon. Our superb guide held off taking us here until later in the day so that we could watch the changing light. The second shot combines the last rays fo daylight with artificual illumination. The third shot is of the main stupa, and the fourth shot is of the main stupa from the balcony of a very good Chinese restaurant. You might want to read Barbara's Laos & Myanmar notes in the "Trip Notes" section of our site.

jmr Posted July 13, 2006 Share #2 Posted July 13, 2006 Stuart, very atmospheric shots. Are you sure you weren't leaning a degree or so to the right on that trip
stuny Posted July 13, 2006 Author Share #3 Posted July 13, 2006 John - After nearly two decades of a military junta running the country, virtually everything leans to the right just a bit. When I revisit I'll only wear one shoe to compensate.
