These seals, as with most wildlife in Antarctica are fairly relaxed as they're not hunted by humans (or at least haven't been hunted for a long time). They therefore do not perceive us as a threat and do not flee.

This was taken from an inflatable Zodiac with a 50mm lens.

I love going on these rides, one with your lens, into the most amazing corners of this planet. This is yet another marvelous image. I love the way she fits right in with her environment, looking so perfectly at home.
