Chital deer, or spotted dear, seem to be everywhere in Bandhavgarh National Park, where we saw seven Bengal tigers in the wild (http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/nature-wildlife/164941-too-rare-no-reason-since-viagra.html). Among others, they seem to be a favorite meal for the big cat.

Stuart,

First of all, Beautiful and exotic (to me) photographs.

Secondly, One of them has an extra leg plus a round carrying strap attached to it's butt.

Al - Thank you. the handle is useful for tipping it over to put milk in your cereal. the spare leg is in case of a flat. An alternative explanation would be parts of a langur monkey, but that's just impossible.

Geaibleu - I suspect their romancing is not very romantic.

I really like the beautiful setting of the first photograph. How far away are you from these animals? Interesting "ringlet" highlights in the background, too. They appear especially toward the right side of the photo.

Stuart,

A wonderful series with great composition, colors and sharpness. With so many demonstrations going on these days, there ought to be one organized to protest the tigers eating these magnificent deer and ask that they go vegetarian like the deer.
