new M7 with flag

The flag makes no difference to the camera at all of course. If you want one with a Dutch flag on it, then buy it and be happy. In Mint condition, they might be of interest to some collectors (IIRC, about 30 were made with the Union Jack on them, probably fewer in the Netherlands).

Leica made lots of different flagged versions when the M7 was released, about 9 years ago. They were intended for their reps in whichever country the flag relates. If this one has been a demo for all that time, factor in a CLA at Solms into the price. You don't know what sort of treatment it has had in how many hands over all those years.

The camera will most likely have the old, troublesome DX reader and the older viewfinder, which some people find prone to flare. See if you can find out more about its history.

The price seems steep for such an old M7 without upgrades - be it in good condition or not.

Check history and upgrades (doing the upgrades afterwards to your own costs is about 500 − 700 EUR @ Leica, according to last reports here on the forum - the DX reader upgrade being free of charge).

I wouldn't assume that the flag model doesn't have the MP style finder. My recollection is that the flag demos appeared some time after the M7 had the finder switched. DX reader is, of course, another matter but is apparently still a free upgrade.

All that said, €1750 doesn't sound like much of a bargain.
