Do you really think that customer service has been sitting on their hands for two weeks, waiting for a response? If that were the case, I ask myself why repairs, that have been authorised, take so long.

 

No of course not. This is most likely a case of failed communications but if the OP had really not wanted the repair carried out, a prompt response back to Leica would most likely have prevented the repair happening by accident as appears to be the case.

I would imagine they are getting on with other jobs while this one sits on a shelf waiting..:rolleyes:

Annibale, I'm pleased it worked out for you. I see you also had an enquiry regarding the sale of lenses on this forum. I sure hope this does not mean you are abandoning the Leica M system, as your B&W work in LFI has been truly inspirational. I look forward to seeing more of your reportage in the future, regardless of the system.
