lufan1011 Posted February 6, 2011 Share #1 Posted February 6, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) When I use Camera Raw 5.6 to convert the DNG to Tif or JPG, I very often to get the wrong F number. Example, when I use F4 on M9, the number shown in CR 5.6 is F13, and sometimes the shutter speed is 1/20s on M9, but the display on CR 5.6 is 1/25s. I use photoshop CS4. Does this affect the Camera Raw function? I also tried the M9 files in LR 2.6 (together with X1), the same wrong F number happend. Seems the M9 problem. Anyboday has face to this problem? Thanks in advance. BR Lu Fan

andybarton Posted February 6, 2011 Share #2 Posted February 6, 2011 The f number is only ever a guess, whatever software you use. CS2 is a very old version of Photoshop, now. Are you sure it's fully compatible with Camera Raw?
pop Posted February 6, 2011 Share #3 Posted February 6, 2011 This and a fair number of other questions about the M9 have been answered in the M9 FAQ: http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/leica-m9-forum/130720-m9-faqs-frequently-asked-questions.html

tobey bilek Posted February 6, 2011 Share #6 Posted February 6, 2011 The whole idea of DNG is to not make things obsolete. DNG should work with any version of ACR . However M9 was not available, so you may need something later. CS4 should work with 4.0 + series of ACR, but less than 6.0. Get an update.
