Pecole Posted February 1, 2011 Share #1 Posted February 1, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) When coming across four photos of the Summilux-M 1:1.4/75mm nº 3150932 I had in my collection, I realised that this lens was scarcely illustrated or discussed, especially in these threads. Mine was the early type #11814 with removable hood (11815 has a built-in hood) and was probably produced in 1981. A few models were offered in 1983 with the engraving "Leica 1913-1983" to fit the M4-P set comemorating the UR-Leica anniversary. Laney underlines the special significance of this lens, as marking "the return of a high speed medium focal length lens for the M-Leica twenty years after the withdrawal of the 85 mm Summarex": My last photo depicts the "sophisticated" cam actuating the camera's rangefinfer. jc_braconi Posted February 1, 2011 Share #2 Posted February 1, 2011 I have one from 1982 and I prefer it than the Summicron ASPH illustration (auto portrait(s)) MP / Summilux 75 (scanned print)
