bap Posted January 23, 2007 Share #1 Posted January 23, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Do anyone know the ratio of sold cameras( M8) vs the number that have to be sent back?....mine works fine and I absolutely love it. Never thought I could feel this way about a camera but I keep thinking" is it just a question of time or am I just one of the lucky one's"
Advertisement Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 Hi bap, Take a look here M8 sold vs M8 broken. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
gtmerideth Posted January 24, 2007 Share #2 Posted January 24, 2007 Well, it's said that 1500 were destined for Solms. Sold beyond that is a guess. g.

scott kirkpatrick Posted January 24, 2007 Share #4 Posted January 24, 2007 Where did you get this number? And, how could you possibly have this number? Several store owners shared the information with forum members. What I think it means is that the number of cameras assembled when shipments began was 1500. However, not all of them had been shipped when things were briefly halted in November, so some of these could be fixed before ever being shipped. That means that the maximum number of "unfixed" M8's that Leica wants to recall and fix should not exceed 1500. The number of early units whose owners can't bear to part with them now, and which later turn up in the used market, will probably be miniscule, but there will be a few. scott
asfeir Posted January 24, 2007 Share #5 Posted January 24, 2007 The number 1500 was mentioned as being that of the first lot shipped, i.e. before halting the shipment in mid-November. Does anyone know how many have been shipped since then?
