My Harley Davidson Road King 2002, 1550cc.

M3, PolaColor 100. Note the unique film effect. If you can find some grab it.

Replaced in 2004 with a BMW GS Adventure that was going to carry me from Alaska to Tierra del Fuego, but that trip is postponed indefinitely.

The shoot was in my good friends studio and he completely controlled the lighting. :)

Thanks for looking.

Rolo - I like the glow and toning. Regarding Alaska and Patagonia, read Barbara's trip notes, and when you get to Tierra Del Fuego (should you go) do NOT fail to visit Ushaia.

Thanks Stuart.

The glow is largely down to the lighting and the film. I haven't added anything in Photoshop. The film is unique, but sadly discontinued, but there'll be a fridge full somewhere, no doubt.

The book that finally made me want to do the trip was by Andres Carlstein - From Odyssey to Ushuaia, Chicago Review Press. Odyssey is a suberb of New York I recall.

Yesterday's Avatar was me in white socks and shoes taken in Valparaiso, Chile, so I've had a taste of the beer down there. Was a while back and the shorts no longer fit. :D

Rolo,

Nice bike(s). My old man had a Sunbeam S8 in the 50's, probably the nearest the UK has come to a Hog, with the possible exception of the Square Four? I'm no expert.

Please can we have your other avatar back- the one with the white socks and hand on hip? ;)

Cheers,

Pete.

The image is nice and that film dose have quit a unique look.

The bike.... not my cup of tee I would have preferred the GS :)

As for the trip there is a few guys here who done it on bikes, they skipped the Alaska to BC part but it is a trip well worth taking. If you do the trip you have to stop by since you will pass by right in front of my door :)
