01af Posted January 19, 2011 Share #41 Posted January 19, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Why should I save disk space? I've got terabytes of it .... So you think having plenty of something is good reason to waste it? Not my line of thinking. Many terabytes is still less than unlimited bytes. This is extra time and work, which is of more interest to me. The time and work are my computer's, while I'm asleep.

pop Posted January 19, 2011 Share #42 Posted January 19, 2011 If disk space really is an issue, you save more by discarding all rotten shots.
01af Posted January 19, 2011 Share #43 Posted January 19, 2011 If disk space really is an issue, you save more by discarding all rotten shots. Well—I allow myself the luxury to keep even my rotten shots (as I do with film) ... and compensate, at least partly, by converting to compressed DNG. To actuate Adobe DNG Converter is much less work than to separate the good from the bad shots.
jaapv Posted January 19, 2011 Share #44 Posted January 19, 2011 So you think having plenty of something is good reason to waste it? Not my line of thinking. Many terabytes is still less than unlimited bytes. The time and work are my computer's, while I'm asleep. I fall asleep over my keyboard sometimes as well, but one still has to set it up. I simply find it not worth the extra trouble.
