Unfortunately you need to remove the older one by using a temperature controlled soldering iron. You have to solder a new one. N rating is for 2.0AMP. I know I'm resurrecting an old thread here, but thank you for posting all the info on how to carry out this repair. I recently took my Digilux 2 to Leica to get it serviced and was told the main PCB had failed. They said they no longer offer repairs on the camera (aside from the sensor replacement.) After getting the camera back from them it refuses to turn on with a freshly charged battery in it. But it does turn on when plugged directly into the power adapter.
