palmskov Posted January 21, 2007 Share #1 Posted January 21, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Potential press photos which the client didn't want since they think they look very tired? They only picked #4. A real shame since I actually like them. What's your opinion? All shot with digilux 2 and avaulable light on the first 3 and 2 bowens fixed lamps on the last 2. Thanks for watching...

stuny Posted January 21, 2007 Share #2 Posted January 21, 2007 Nikolaj - I'm assuming the man in the foreground on the left of the last is the group's lead, in which case I'd have selected that one, though I'd try to sharpen it a bit to get the other three in better focus. #1 has a delighfully menacing air to it. palmskov Posted January 21, 2007 Author Share #3 Posted January 21, 2007 @Stuny: Thanks for the comments. Sure the guy on the left is the leader / singer. The last is my choice between the coutch photos...
Overgaard Posted January 21, 2007 Share #4 Posted January 21, 2007 A jukebox like that plays Elvis Presley - and they play ... hmm, don't understand why they went with no 4. Had they been an american band they would have choosen one of the first ones. The no 4 is so underplayed - so Danish!
palmskov Posted January 21, 2007 Author Share #5 Posted January 21, 2007 Thanks Thorsten. I think your comment is a cadeux to the first ones which I find most international and appropriate to their music. Actually I have chosen the attached for my own portfolio. It's been retouched a bit in photoshop for the grainy and more authentic look. There is a reason why only a very few international acts have come from Denmark. stunsworth Posted January 21, 2007 Share #6 Posted January 21, 2007 They picked the worst one IMHO. The hand resting on the face is such a cliché they look as if they're trying to look 'mean' while they know they have to go to back to the accountancy job in the morning. The first one is so much better - especially the half hidden face towards the back left of the photograph. I suspect that the one they picked has more to do with 'the ego' in the band choosing the one that makes him more prominent :-)
Peter41951 Posted January 21, 2007 Share #7 Posted January 21, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) The first one works really well, I think. Then, your clients' agenda will be different from mine. The fourth is very safe, but I prefer the fifth to that.
palmskov Posted January 21, 2007 Author Share #8 Posted January 21, 2007 @Stunsworth: The man in front did decide which photo to use. To use Peter's words: Unfortunately the singer's and my agenda are different as well;) @Peter: Thanks. Agree
