rickp13 Posted December 17, 2010 Share #1 Posted December 17, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) i just received a commercial email about the availability of a front/back focus ruler for testing lens focus. as there are several threads about this problem, and just as many solutions for how to measure the amount of front or rear focus, maybe this tool will be of interest to other forum members. (administrators - if this is against the guidelines, please remove) if you're curious, there's a photo below, and a link here to receive more information: mtapes@mtapesdesign.com greetings from hamburg rick
Advertisement Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 Hi rickp13, Take a look here new front/back focus measurement ruler. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Jager Posted December 18, 2010 Share #2 Posted December 18, 2010 Yes, this is the second iteration of the Lens Align device. It was designed for testing front or back focus on DSLR's, but works quite well on rangefinders as well. I recommend it, with the sole caveat that you just be careful that it doesn't suddenly turn you into an anal worry wort.... Of Lenses and Cameras It's excellent for determining and measuring truly serious focus issues.
