i just received a commercial email about the availability of a front/back focus ruler for testing lens focus. as there are several threads about this problem, and just as many solutions for how to measure the amount of front or rear focus, maybe this tool will be of interest to other forum members.

Yes, this is the second iteration of the Lens Align device. It was designed for testing front or back focus on DSLR's, but works quite well on rangefinders as well. I recommend it, with the sole caveat that you just be careful that it doesn't suddenly turn you into an anal worry wort....
