fielden Posted December 15, 2010 Share #1 Posted December 15, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) 12 months ago, for a number of reasons I sold my M8 and lenses and have been in the wilderness for a while with a Panasonic GF1. But today, I traded it in for a dLux5! I have had no regrets about selling the M8, I never really got on with it even though the image quality was amazing but I do regret getting rid of my dLux 4. When I look back through my photos, all my favourite ones where taken with the dLux 4. So dLux 5 battery on charge. Looking forward to using it tomorrow! leicameter Posted December 17, 2010 Share #4 Posted December 17, 2010 Like you I did not like the M8 very much, but why don't you like the gf1?
fielden Posted December 17, 2010 Author Share #5 Posted December 17, 2010 I didn't dislike the GF1, but as I said above, I was looking back through my photos and all my favourites were taken with the dl4, that's not to say they were the best in image quality or the best technically but they were my favourites maybe because the Dl4 was always in my pocket! I dunno. My M8 problems were more to do with my deteriorating eyesight. having to switch glasses whilst taking photos just took the fun out of it. jjonsalt Posted January 11, 2011 Share #8 Posted January 11, 2011 When I look back through my photos, all my favourite ones where taken with the dLux 4. I understand. On a different scale (money, quality, etc.), I had a Canon D1 Mk3 with 5 lenses and a bunch of other stuff (used a rolling case) and the two highest awards I have received in photo contests were taken with a Canon G5.
